Hispanic Roots Television Network Inc.
“Hispanic Roots Television Network Inc.” is a company that is owned by Néstor Castro, who has an extensive experience of 44 years working in the field of the television Industry, collaborating with shows for other communities here in Canada and doing the Post-production for 13 years of prime time Spanish shows in Lima-Peru.
The production of the shows focuses on the Latin community living in Ontario; it provides a vehicle for Canadian Hispanics to showcase their lifestyle and culture.
HRTN Inc. presents the Hispanic community with their rich culture and traditions even though they are divided by nationalities our common history and language are the pivotal factor that makes us feel very close to each other. One of the main commitments of the contents is to serve these countries without distinctions.
HRTN Inc. has different contents some of them are journalistic with interviews and editorials. Other programs have culture festivities, and religion contents. For the instructional and educational, we have contents with experts in immigration, real state, finance etc.; for entertainment we have sports, dance, music, drama, and humor.
For sixteen consecutive years, the television show “Hispanic Roots” produced by HRTN Inc. has been voted as the best Hispanic program in Canada, we attribute the success of our show to our focus in the reflection and celebration of the achievements of our ethnic community and our concentrated effort in providing educational programming for the entire family. “Hispanic Roots” counts on an average audience of more than 380,000 Spanish speaking viewers across Ontario and with an extended audience across Canada by way of ExpressVu Satellite System of Bell.
Ten years ago, our program received a call from the Office of the Prime Minister Steven Harper to cover the visit he did to the countries of Brazil, Colombia, Honduras and Costa Rica, we join him and we made many programmes when he was signing the Trade Agreements between Canada and these Latin American Countries. This demonstrates that our programme has a good reputation and reliability of its contents.
On July of 2014, the Government of Ecuador’s President Rafael Correa through the institution CONSEP – Consejo Nacional de Sustancias Stupefacientes y Psicotropicas invited a crew of our program to visit the cities of Guayaquil and the
Capital Quito for the coverage of the struggle this country faces against drugs and to show the good approach they are using.
Seven years ago, we were also visiting the Hispanic communities that reside in the cities of Las Vegas, Los Angeles and San Diego to show our viewers the development of Hispanic communities living in the USA. We did interviews with Presidents and Chairmen of the American – Hispanic Chambers of Commerce who have thriving businesses which benefit those cities.
Also, through our program, Rogers’s Communications Company commissioned our Company the preparation of a documentary, to show the political development of Hispanics in North America and we had the privilege of inviting to Toronto the former General Prosecutor of the United States, the Honorable Alberto Gonzales who served during the President Bush’s administration.
As you can see our television programming has been developing and growing over time and we hope to improve and reach other levels for the benefit of all the people who watch our shows.

Atentamente,
Francisco Arce Chiriboga
